Statistics Lab

The Statistics Lab is an interactive learning platform designed to deepen university students' understanding of statistical methods and their real-world applications. Through study meetings, hands-on workshops, and collaborative projects, participants gain practical experience in data analysis while building a supportive community focused on ethical data practices.

Meeting 1: Introduction to the Statistics Lab and Statistical Analysis

Overview of the lab’s mission, introduction to key statistical concepts like mean, median, and standard deviation, and an interactive exercise using sample datasets.

Meeting 2: Foundations of Probability and Data Visualization

 

Covers basic probability rules, data collection methods, and introduces descriptive statistics and visualization techniques.

Meeting 3: Hypothesis Testing
 

Explains hypothesis testing, focusing on parametric tests like t-tests and ANOVA, and non-parametric tests like chi-square.
